Siamese cats are the original breed of Thailand. In Thailand more than 200 years ago, Siamese cats were "house-bound" nobles. They only lived in the royal palace or large temples of Thailand, and they were regarded as the guardian gods of the temple. Legend has it that Siamese cats guard a mysterious temple that houses countless ancient treasures.
In 1884, when the British consul in Bangkok, Thailand, left office, he brought back to Britain one of the gifts from the Kingdom of Thailand, a seal-spotted Siamese cat. This was the first time that a Siamese cat arrived outside of Asia. Like an elegant prince, it was immediately valued by many British cat lovers. Since then, Siamese cats have appeared all over the world, and the distinction between modern Siamese cats and traditional Siamese cats has emerged. The older it is, the darker its fur color will be. This is why Siamese cats change from "white, rich and beautiful" to "coal miners".
As a famous pet cat, Siamese cats can adapt well to the local climate of their owners. They are strong and active, smart and flexible, very curious, and considerate. Siamese cats like to be with people and can be taken for a walk on a leash. They need constant caressing and care from their owners. They are loyal to their owners and have deep feelings for them. If they are forced to be separated from their owners, they may die of depression. Siamese cats are also very smart and can quickly learn skills such as somersaults and throwing objects back. The calls of Siamese cats are unique or like the cry of a child, and the sound is very loud.
Generally speaking, mixed-breed cats live longer than purebred cats, but Siamese cats and Chinchillas are exceptions (Siamese cats and Chinchillas live longer as purebred cats).
