Labrador, also known as Retriever, is a medium to large dog breed. It is very suitable to be selected as a guide dog or subway police dog, search and rescue dog and other working dog that often goes in and out of public places. It is named after its origin in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
Labrador Retrievers are very smart, alert, and considerate. They have a gentle and stable personality, neither dull nor overactive. They are friendly and loyal to people. They like to play, especially playing games with others.
According to the international standard of Labrador Retrievers, only four colors are recognized, namely black, brown, beige and yellow. Other colors have always been considered disqualified for Labrador Retrievers, such as silver and spotted blocks. Some people say that yellow Labrador Retrievers are suitable for service dogs, and black Labrador Retrievers are suitable for competitions or hunting. But in fact, this statement is not rigorous. Dogs of different breeds and not the same will have their own unique personalities and abilities, but you cannot simply determine what kind of personality a dog has and what it is suitable for based on its fur color. A dog's personality is influenced and determined by the nature of the breed, the living environment, and the owner's training methods and habits.
Labrador Retrievers are retrievers bred from water hounds. Their body shape seems to be born for swimming. Their moderately long and powerful tails can be used as paddles to control the direction of the boat in the water. Their short and thick coats are easy to get wet and dry. Labrador Retrievers are naturally very hydrophilic.
Labrador Retrievers are also very good guide dogs. Labrador Retrievers are very trainable and obedient because they are usually greedy. If they are not trained, they will be difficult to tame, so that they will not listen to their owners and destroy household items. If they are not given enough activities, they will show a destructive side or appear to be over-energetic to escape boredom.
Protect wild animals and stop eating game.
