The Oriental Longhair is a new breed obtained by crossing the Oriental Shorthair and the Balinese (semi-longhaired Siamese cat). TECA announced the standard of this breed in 1998. This breed is still rare in Europe.
Oriental longhair cats are very lively, energetic, playful, strong-willed, and more docile than Oriental shorthair cats. Oriental longhair cats are sociable and can get along well with other cats, but are wary of strangers. They are emotional and attached to their owners. They have a pleasant voice and are easy to talk to. They don't like loneliness. Proud, curious, and like to act like a spoiled child to their owner. When raising a Siamese cat, pay attention to whether its temperament is suitable for you. Avoid choosing a breed with a weird personality and very troublesome to take care of.
