The South American fur sea lion lives in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans near South America, mostly concentrated along the Atlantic coast, especially the Uruguayan Islands, in Chile, southern Peru, Argentina, and Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Islands in southern Brazil, and in the Juan Fernandez Islands in Colombia.
