Black-bodied tube-nosed moray eel. Common name: Macai eel. The front nose of juvenile fish is tubular, and the tube wall becomes membranous as it grows. The ends of the upper and lower jaws must be branched and elongated. The body color of juvenile fish is black, males are sky blue, and females are yellow. Body length 1.2 meters. Distribution areas: South China Sea, Taiwan coast and Western Pacific. Pictured here is a black-bodied fulmar eel (head and tail) in a coral reef.
