The front of the forewings is black, and the wing chambers have white long oval spots with blurred boundaries. The front of the hind wings is red at the base, and the middle area is white, separated by black wing veins; the outer edge is black with scattered white spots; the hip area is yellow.
Distributed in southern my country and South Asian countries. The adults appear in spring and look like primulas, hence the name.
