Location
Udzunwa quail is endemic to the United Republic of Tanzania and is found only in parts of the Udzunwa Plateau, including the Ndundulu Mountains.
Form
Udzunwa quails are 29 cm long and weigh 220 grams. Males and females are similar in appearance. The upper body is reddish-brown with heavy black spots, and the lower body is gray with black spots. The throat and brow lines are orange-red, the beak is bright coral, and the legs and toes are vivid yellow.
