Form
Medium (38 cm) brown grey pigeon. Wing coverts with many white spots. It is distinguished from all other pigeon species by its long, ringed neck feathers and non-metallic body feathers. Head gray, upper back purple, lower back gray. Iris - grey; Mouth - black, mouth base purple; Feet - yellow-green, claws bright yellow.
