Ptilinopus fischeri, also known as Red-eared Fruit-dove, feeds mainly on tree tops, but occasionally comes to the ground. Individual activities, rarely clustered. Eat mainly small, oily fruits, usually swallowed whole, digesting the flesh and removing the seeds.
Listed in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) ver 3.1: Red List of Birds 2010.

It is found in Palau. It is the national bird of the region.

Form
The feathers are rich in color: gray-green body, green wings, and a bright purple crown. The color of the feathers is very similar to the color of the woodland leaves they inhabit.
