Why do dogs squint their eyes?

Dogs may squint for the following reasons:

1. Fatigue: Your dog may be tired, and just like people, they may feel their eyes are heavy and want to rest.

2. Pain: If your dog has pain or discomfort in or around their eyes, they may squint to relieve the pain.

3. Too much light: If your dog is in a bright environment, they may squint to reduce irritation.

4. Prevent tear stains: Some puppies may have more active tear glands, and too many tears can cause problems such as redness, moisture, or infection. At this time, your dog may squint to prevent tears from flowing into his eyes.

If your dog squints for a long time or has other abnormal symptoms, it is recommended to take it to the veterinarian for a check-up to determine if there is a health problem.
