The national bird of China is the canary (scientific name: Serinus canaria).
The canary is a small songbird with a yellow or orange body and a red bill. They are mainly distributed in Europe, Africa and Asia, and include multiple subspecies. In China, canaries are widely distributed and usually inhabit grasslands, forest edges, shrubs and other areas.
The canary is a gentle and easy-to-keep pet bird that is widely raised and viewed in China. At the same time, the canary is also a bird with rich cultural history and symbolic meaning, and its image often appears in literary and artistic works. Therefore, the canary was chosen as the national bird of China, which also represents the important position of this animal in Chinese culture.
