The badger pig, also known as the porcupine or hedgehog, is a small mammal belonging to the family Hedgehogidae. Their bodies are covered in sharp, hardened spines that they use to protect themselves from predators.
Badger pigs are usually between 20-30cm in length and weigh from about 500g to 2.5kg. They feed primarily on insects, snails, and other invertebrates, and sometimes fruits and vegetables.
Badger pigs are widely distributed in Europe, Asia, Africa and New Zealand. They also have a certain influence in human culture, such as often appearing as characters in cartoon images or games.
