Animals with three hearts are certain cephalopods such as octopuses and cuttlefish. The heart morphology of these animals differs from other types of vertebrates such as mammals, birds, and reptiles, which have one primary heart and two accessory hearts.

Inside the bodies of octopuses and cuttlefish, the main heart, called the "body heart," is located in the main cavity and can deliver blood to various parts of the body through a series of blood vessels. The two auxiliary hearts are called "branch hearts", and their function is to transport oxygen-rich (oxygenated) blood from the gills to the body center, thereby ensuring the normal functioning of the body.

It should be noted that animals with multiple hearts have developed unique physiological structures and adaptive capabilities during the evolution process, giving them certain advantages in the underwater environment. However, there are still many challenges and difficulties in studying these animals in human life and scientific research.
