The koala is an animal in the wombat family (Phascolarctidae), and its scientific name is Phascolarctos cinereus. They are a type of marsupial endemic to Australia, usually inhabiting dry eucalyptus and eucalyptus forests. Koalas are known for their round ears, short tail, soft gray hair and large, round nose. Their main food is eucalyptus leaves and buds. Although koalas look cute, they are actually quite shy and prone to diseases such as hepatitis, so they are not suitable for keeping as pets.
