The chipmunk is a neat pet that needs regular cleaning and bathing. Although some species of chipmunks are capable of self-cleaning in the wild, pet chipmunks usually live in a closed environment and require proper bathing assistance from their owners.

For squirrels, water bathing is a more suitable way of cleaning, which can be carried out through the following steps:

1. Prepare bathing utensils: bathing containers (such as shallow dishes), soap or pet-specific body wash, towels, etc.

2. Soak in warm water: Pour warm water into the bath container. The temperature should be maintained at about 35°C. Place the rat in the bathing container and let it soak in the water for about 10 minutes to soften and remove dirt.

3. Use body wash: Apply an appropriate amount of pet-specific body wash or soap on your hands, and gently wipe the rat's hair with your fingers, avoiding forced pressing or friction. Be careful not to let water get into the ears, nose and eyes of the rat.

4. Rinse clean: Rinse the body lotion off the rat with clean water. If necessary, use a towel to gently dry the surface of the body.

5. Blowing: Use a hair dryer or a soft towel to absorb the moisture on the body surface, and keep the rat away from the vents to avoid colds and other problems.

It should be noted that the skin of the squirrel is relatively fragile and it is not advisable to bathe frequently. It is best to control it to 1-2 times a month. In addition, to avoid harming the health of your rat, you should use specialized pet cleaning products and do not use human shampoo, soap or other chemicals.
