Are seahorses molluscs?

Seahorses are not molluscs. They belong to the phylum Chordata and the order Syngnathiformes under the subphylum Echinodermata. Unlike molluscs, seahorses have relatively hard body bones and some special adaptive structures, such as a tail that can be curled and a mouth shape suitable for preying on small crustaceans. In addition, the seahorse also has the symbolic meaning of "masculinity" in Eastern philosophy and is considered a symbol of perseverance and tenacity.
