How do little rabbits see male and female?

The gender of baby rabbits can be determined by observing their external characteristics, although it may be more difficult when very young. Here are some common ways to tell the difference between male and female rabbits:

1. External genitals: In adult rabbits of appropriate age, the external genitals (testicles) of male rabbits can usually be seen in the pubic hair behind the abdomen, showing two small balls. In female rabbits, the external genitalia (vaginal opening) are located just below the anus, but it may take careful inspection to see them clearly.

2. Body shape: Although it is not an absolutely accurate method, in some cases, there are some differences in the body shape of male rabbits and female rabbits. Male rabbits are usually larger, especially as adults, while female rabbits are slightly smaller. Additionally, female rabbits typically have a rounder head and longer torso, while male rabbits may be more slender or stocky.

3. Behavioral performance: Sexually mature male rabbits will display some behaviors for the purpose of showing territory and courtship, such as spraying urine, kicking, chasing, etc. Female rabbits, on the other hand, may exhibit gentler and quieter behavior.

Please note that these methods are not 100% accurate, especially with young rabbits. If you need to determine the gender of your bunny, it's best to consult a veterinarian or an experienced rabbit breeder to ensure accuracy.
