Where do ticks usually bite?

Ticks often choose to bite specific areas on the human body. Here are some of the more common tick bite locations:

1. Head and neck: Ticks like to find suitable places to suck blood in the hair, behind the ears, neck, etc.

2. Armpits and groin: These areas are usually moist and warm, making them ideal blood-feeding locations for ticks.

3. Legs and Ankles: Ticks may crawl around the legs and ankles, especially when you're walking in grass, bushes, or woods.

However, the exact location where a tick bites also depends on the environment, individual differences, and the degree of protection of the exposed area. When you are in areas where ticks may be present, pay attention to full-body protective measures, including wearing long-sleeved clothing, long pants, a hat, and using mosquito repellent. Checking your body for ticks and removing them promptly can reduce the risk of bites and the potential for the spread of related diseases. If you feel unwell or have any health problems after being bitten by a tick, it is recommended to consult a doctor immediately.
