When a dog has a stillborn fetus in its belly, some of the following symptoms may occur:

1. Lack of appetite: The dog may lose interest in food, refuse to eat or eat less.

2. Abdominal Abnormalities: You may notice that your dog’s abdomen becomes unusually distended or hardened. This is because stillborn fetuses accumulate in the uterus and cause the uterus to swell.

3. Vomiting or diarrhea: Dogs may vomit or have diarrhea, which may be accompanied by an unusual odor.

4. Behavioral changes: Dogs may exhibit behavioral changes such as depression, anxiety, pain, or restlessness.

5. General discomfort: Dogs may show symptoms of general discomfort, including fatigue, listlessness, silence, etc.

If you suspect that your dog has a stillborn fetus, it is recommended that you visit your veterinarian immediately for examination and diagnosis. The veterinarian will perform an appropriate physical examination and possible imaging studies (such as ultrasound) to confirm the presence of stillbirth and provide the dog with appropriate treatment and care. Early diagnosis and treatment is very important to prevent possible complications and protect your dog's health.
