There are some telltale signs when guppies are about to spawn and give birth. Here are some common pointers:

1. Abdominal enlargement: Guppies will gradually expand during pregnancy, especially the abdominal area will become more rounded.

2. Body color changes: Guppies may experience body color changes during pregnancy. Typically, female guppies become more colorful, displaying more distinct colors. This change may be to attract males and protect their offspring.

3. Behavioral changes: Guppies may exhibit behavioral changes during pregnancy. Females may become more active and frequently swim and dig through substratum to prepare their spawning sites. They may also become more aggressive, especially toward other fish that enter their territory or near their ovarian area.

4. Loss of appetite: Some guppies may lose their appetite during pregnancy and no longer be interested in food. This is normal as the female prepares to lay and hatch her eggs.

If you suspect your guppies are about to give birth, provide an environment suitable for spawning and protecting the young. This can include providing enough vegetation, hiding places and flotsam so that the young fish have somewhere to hide and grow after birth.

Please note that guppy breeding requires certain expertise and equipment to ensure the health and survival of the young fish. If you are new to guppy breeding or are unfamiliar with the breeding process, it is best to seek guidance and advice from an experienced fish keeper or professional.
