Potty training a Corgi requires patience and consistency. Here are the steps for potty training a three-month-old Corgi:

1. Establish a regular defecation schedule: Corgi pups need regular defecation breaks. Understand Corgi’s bowel habits. They usually feel the urge to defecate after meals, after waking up, or after activities. Based on these time points, establish a fixed bowel movement schedule.

2. Supervision and guidance: Always be with your Corgi when potty time comes. Before your Corgi starts preparing to relieve himself, take him to a designated potty area. This can be a diaper or training pad indoors, or a fixed designated area outdoors. Use short command words, such as "go to the toilet", to help Corgi establish an association with defecation behavior.

3. Praise and reward: When Corgi finishes defecating in the designated toilet area, immediately give positive rewards and praise, such as small snacks or vocal praise. This positive feedback will help Corgi understand his correct behavior and increase his motivation to repeat this behavior.

4. Monitor and prevent accidents: Always monitor your Corgi’s behavior closely during training, especially if potty training is not being implemented. As soon as you notice your Corgi is about to relieve himself, take him to a designated toilet area. If an accident occurs, do not punish the Corgi as they may not immediately understand your training intentions. Be patient and keep training.

5. Limit the range of free activities: During training, the Corgi’s range of activities can be limited to a relatively small area, such as using an indoor fence. This reduces the chance of your Corgi inadvertently defecating in the wrong place, while improving the effectiveness of your observation and guidance.

Remember, Corgis are highly intelligent dogs and usually learn potty training quickly. However, each dog will progress at a different rate, so be patient and continue training. If you are confused or have difficulty, do not hesitate to ask a professional dog trainer or veterinarian for advice.
