What animals have two legs?

When we discuss animals with only two legs, two categories of animals usually come to mind: birds and humans.

birds

  1. Ostrich: The ostrich is the largest known bird and the only bird that can run. Their wings, although unable to fly, are very strong and can be used for balance and changing direction. Ostriches use running as their main mode of movement and can reach speeds of 60 to 70 kilometers per hour. They are one of the fastest birds on land.

  2. Flying ostrich (Emu): The flying ostrich is another large bird with only two legs that lives in Australia. Just like the ostrich, the flying ostrich's wings, although well developed, are only used for balance and direction control, not flight.

  3. Penguin: Penguin is a kind of bird that lives in Antarctica and surrounding areas. Their wings have evolved into fins for swimming, so they show obvious bipedal characteristics when walking on land or ice.

Humanity

Although humans have four limbs, they typically use only two hind limbs when walking, running, and standing. This characteristic is the result of humans walking upright and is one of the significant differences between humans and other species in the animal kingdom.

These two-legged animals all exhibit varying degrees of evolution and adaptation that allow them to successfully adapt to their environment.
