Culter oxycephaloides belongs to the order Cypriniformes, family Cyprinidae, subfamily Culterae, and genus Culter. Commonly known as: duck bill with red tip, pointed tip with red tip.

Pseudomonas acutis mostly inhabits the middle and upper layers of running water or deeper still water bodies. It feeds mainly on small fish and shrimp, and also eats aquatic insects. The 5-winter-old fish with a body length of 60 cm and a weight of 2 kg has reached primary sexual maturity, and the reproductive season is between May and June.


Pseudomonas acuminata is distributed in the upper and middle reaches of the Yangtze River tributaries and its affiliated water bodies. It is a medium-sized economic fish that is widely distributed in the Yangtze River Basin. It grows quickly. The largest individual can weigh more than 3 kilograms. The meat is tender and delicious, but it is usually found in small quantities in the catch.
