Life habits of long thin loach and loach fish

Changbo loach is commonly known as flower loach, flower loach and flower fish. The body color is light grayish brown, the fins are yellowish brown, and there are two rows of dark brown stripes on the body, which has high ornamental value. Because it is a bottom fish that lives in rivers, it has high requirements for water quality and dissolved oxygen. It is ferocious in nature and feeds on small fish. The average individual weight is 1.0-1.5 kg, and the maximum weight can be 2.5-3.0 kg.

Longbo loach is distributed in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, especially in the tributaries of the Three Gorges area of the Yangtze River.

Many species of loach fish similar to the long-bodied loach can be raised as ornamental fish, such as the purple loach, the strong-bodied sand loach, the Chinese flower loach, etc. The fishes of the sand loach and flower loach groups mostly live in areas where the water flow is relatively gentle. The water body has lower requirements for water quality and dissolved oxygen than the fish of the genus Loach, and it mostly feeds on benthic organisms, algae, plant debris and organic humus, making it easier to raise. Fishes such as sand loach and flower loach are all small fish, generally 70-80 mm in length, with eye-catching body colors and markings. They have high ornamental value and are widely distributed in the Yangtze River and other water systems south of my country.
