Physical characteristics of Kunmingsaurus (one of the earliest sauropod dinosaurs)

In the Jurassic dinosaur world, there was a giant dinosaur. They eat plants and live in vast wilderness. These are the dinosaurs of the genus Elopod.

They evolved and developed through long-term adaptation from the Triassic Paleopod dinosaurs and the primitive sauropod dinosaurs from the Early Jurassic period. They were extremely prosperous in the late Jurassic period, and their size reached its peak, reaching more than 30 meters in length and weighing nearly 100 tons. Some scientists estimate that the weight of Superosaurus living in North America could reach 100 tons. It is precisely because of the emergence of these huge sauropod dinosaurs that dinosaurs are known as the "giants" of the animal kingdom in all geological eras and are the largest land animals.

Primitive sauropod dinosaurs appeared in the early Jurassic period, but at that time they were still in their "infancy" stage. The number and types of fossils discovered were very small. They were only found in Zimbabwe in Africa, Konta in India and my country. Typical representatives of the Wuding Basin in Yunnan Province include India's Bigfootosaurus and my country's Kunmingosaurus. These primitive sauropod dinosaurs walked on four legs and had long necks and tails. Their body structure was almost like an enlarged paleopod dinosaur. The characteristics of their skulls and teeth showed that they fed on plants. Scientists do believe that these sauropod dinosaurs evolved from some kind of paleopod dinosaur from the Triassic Period.
