Details
The scientific name of the small golden bear monkey is Arctocebus aureus. It lives alone, is active during the day, and lives in trees. They move very slowly. They mainly eat insects and occasionally eat fruits. The gestation period is 130 days, and one cub is born per litter. The cub is mainly held in the mother's abdomen at birth, and the weaning period is three to four months. After six months, it leaves the mother and fully matures in eight to ten months. The average lifespan is about 13 years.

Location
Distributed in Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon. Generally lives in lowlands of shrubs and forests. Most of the time it hides in the leaves.

The body length is 22 to 30 cm and the weight is less than 500 grams. The nose is slender and the tail is very short. The hair is yellow-brown or golden.
