The scientific name of the velvet crown lemur is Propithecus candidus. It lives in groups and starts foraging at dawn. Its main food is flowers, young leaves, fruits and seeds. The mating season is from December to January of the following year. Each litter has 1-2 cubs.

Location
The velvet crowned lemur lives only in northeastern Madagascar in Africa, inhabiting tropical rainforests at an altitude of 700-1875 meters.
Form
The velvet crown lemur is white all over, with a hairless black or pink face. Its head and body are 48-54 cm long, its tail is 45-51 cm long, and it weighs 5-6.5 kg.
