The scientific name of the chestnut-red leaf monkey is Presbytis rubicunda. It likes to move around in tall trees and rarely goes to the ground. It also sleeps in big trees at night. It eats almost only leaves. Its favorite food is the vines of Borneo, the young leaves of some rare trees and some unsweet fruits. When we mention monkeys, we often think of monkeys' love of eating bananas. Strangely, bananas are fatal to chestnut-red leaf monkeys. Because bananas can disrupt the balance of stomach acid, causing severe indigestion, and even be fatal.
The family members of the chestnut-red leaf monkey can be as many as a dozen, and the male leaf monkeys are dominant. Every morning they will disperse to find fresh leaves and sleep together at noon. Except for looking for termite mounds, they rarely go down to the ground. Trees are their main habitat. Generally, arboreal animals are very light, weighing about 6 kilograms, and their body length is about 57 centimeters without the tail.
