2023-04-17 03:10:03 131

The hunchbacked, triangular body of the pufferfish is surrounded by bone armor composed of polygonal plate-like scales. The cross-section of the body is roughly triangular. The scale plate in the middle of the dorsal rib protrudes upward, forming a peak.

Small warm water offshore bottom fish, generally 100 to 120 mm in length. It swims slowly and uses bone armor to defend itself.

Distributed in the Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean. Our country is only found in the South China Sea.
