The head is a flat triangle.
Details
Giant geckos live in tropical and subtropical limestone areas 250-600m above sea level, hiding in caves during the day and active at night. Mainly prey on insects, other geckos, small rodents, birds.
The wild animal is a national second-class key protected wild animal.
Location
It is distributed in Guangxi, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hong Kong and Hainan. It is distributed abroad in Vietnam.
Form
The body is oblong. The head is large and flat triangular in shape. The snout is blunt and round. The skin is rough and has granular fine scale, small grain scale in the throat area and large scale between the nose. The abdominal scales are tiled and the dorsal scales are smooth and ring-shaped.
