On November 23, three rescued Oriental white storks returned to nature in the Qilihai Wetland.

On the same day, the Forestry Bureau of Ninghe District, Tianjin released three Oriental white storks capable of surviving in the wild into the wild in the Qilihai Wetland.

In April this year, an Oriental white stork nest on a power tower in Ninghe District was found to be at risk of overturning. Subsequently, under the guidance of the Ninghe District Forestry Bureau, the young birds in the nest were sent to local volunteers with experience in protecting and rescuing Oriental white storks for treatment and care. After a period of careful rescue, the three baby birds have reached the conditions for release into the wild.

The Oriental white stork is a national first-level protected animal. The three Oriental white storks also wore satellite trackers while returning to nature. Staff will continue to monitor them to better understand their activities and health.
