Pterodroma alba

White forehead, eyes first, throat; The head and occipital parts are gray, the back is dark gray, with white feather margin, white under the wings, white under the body, and bluish gray overlying feathers on the tail; Dark brown tail feathers. Mouth black, tarsus color. The body length is about 330mm.

It is distributed in the Pacific Islands (including Taiwan Province of China, Dongsha Islands, Xisha Islands, Zhongsha Islands, Nansha Islands, and the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia's Sumatra, Java Island, and Papua New Guinea).
It is found mainly in the Pacific Ocean and breeds in Ogasawara and Iwo Islands, but is found only in Taiwan from March to July.

The Latin name is Pterodroma alba, and the foreign name is Phoenix Petrel. There is only one subspecies in China.

The Shearwater feeds on fish and crustaceans. Like to fly in a circle in the sky, chirping and suddenly falling posture, field observation features are obvious, easy to identify. It is an occasional species.
