Halobaena caerulea, also known as Blue Petrel, is a small seabird of the Petrel family.
It feeds mainly on krill, but also other crustaceans, fish and cuttlefish, and can dive up to 6 meters deep while hunting in the water.

It is found in the waters of the Southern Hemisphere, from southern Africa, Australia and South America to the Antarctic region.
