Animals can sense the stimulation caused by changes in physical and chemical factors before an earthquake through their sensory organs, and show panic and escape behaviors.
Fish can sense changes in water pressure and weak low-frequency vibrations from 6 Hz to tens of Hz through their ears and lateral line organs. When fish sense the low-frequency vibrations caused by earthquake precursors, they swim from deep water to shallow water and appear very uneasy and agitated, showing phenomena such as tail-lifting, jumping out of the water, and pretending to be dead.
