Are dinosaurs still alive?

2023-05-05 18:18:06 114

Dinosaurs became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period about 66 million years ago, so they no longer exist. Reptiles, birds, and mammals that exist on Earth today do not belong to the category of dinosaurs.

However, there are some misinformation or rumors in some places that people have witnessed the existence of "living dinosaurs", but these so-called "dinosaurs" may actually be some giant reptiles (such as crocodiles, lizards, etc.) or flying animals (such as kangaroos, ostriches, etc.). It is worth noting that these animals are quite different from ancient dinosaurs in terms of morphology and ecological types, and cannot be simply equated or confused.

In short, dinosaurs became extinct tens of millions of years ago. With the support of modern science and technology, we can understand their ecological characteristics and evolutionary history through paleontological research and reconstruction of fossil remains.
