Hamsters are relatively sensitive little animals. Sometimes they will show unusual behaviors when they are close to death, but not all hamsters will show this. Here are some possible manifestations:

1. Abnormal activity: Hamsters are usually very active, but may become less active or huddle up near death.

2. Tachypnea: Hamsters have a rapid breathing rate, but may become more rapid as they approach death.

3. Loss of focus: Hamsters' eyes are usually very bright, but as they approach death, their eyes may become blurred or lose focus.

4. Straighten the body: Before death, the hamster may straighten the body to make it look stiffer.

5. Become calm and docile: Before death, some hamsters become very calm and docile and may accept hugs and comfort from their owners.

It's important to note that not all hamsters will show these signs before dying, and each hamster's situation will be different. If you find that your hamster is behaving abnormally, it is recommended to take it to a veterinary clinic or professional pet hospital as soon as possible to ensure that they receive timely treatment and care.
