"Flying snake disease" is actually a relatively common insect-borne disease, which is caused by a parasite called "Flying snake disease". The intermediate hosts of this parasite are reptiles such as tree frogs and flying snakes that are widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions.

When infected tree frogs or flying snakes are eaten by humans or other animals, Schistosoma schistosomiasis will enter the human body through the digestive tract, causing transmission. Humans most often become infected by eating untreated contaminated freshwater organisms, drinking contaminated water, or coming into contact with infected animals.

The main symptoms of flying snake disease include headache, fever, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. In severe cases, it may be life-threatening. The disease is more common in tropical or subtropical areas, especially in areas that lack sanitary conditions or have unclean drinking water sources. Preventive measures include drinking clean water, not littering, avoiding eating raw or uncooked freshwater organisms, and maintaining personal and environmental hygiene. If you have symptoms such as fever and muscle aches, seek medical treatment as soon as possible.
