The reproductive capacity of the Lunar Rabbit (also known as the Dutch Dwarf Rabbit) usually begins to develop at approximately 4 to 6 months of age. This is the stage when they reach sexual maturity and can begin to reproduce. However, the exact timing of breeding also depends on the health of the individual rabbit and environmental conditions.

Moon Rabbits are very active breeders and have a high reproductive capacity. Female rabbits can give birth to multiple litters in a year, and each litter can have 2 to 8 babies. The gestation period is 31 to 33 days. Therefore, if you plan to keep and breed Moon Rabbits, you need to make sure you have enough space and resources to care for and manage them and their offspring.

If you are considering breeding a Lunar Rabbit, make sure you understand how to properly care for young rabbits and have a plan in place for handling and housing them. Controlling breeding is important to avoid overbreeding and a situation where too many animals cannot be cared for properly.
