Tilapia is a common ornamental fish. The following are some tips for raising tilapia:

1. Prepare a suitable fish tank: Tilapia needs to live in a suitable environment. Choose a fish tank that is large enough to accommodate all the fish, with adequate hiding places and adequate water flow. Walls are needed for shelter to allow fish to swim around.

2. Maintain proper water quality: Tilapia needs clean, stable water to grow. The most suitable water quality is that the pH value is between 7.5 and 8.5, and the hardness (GH) should be between 300-400ppm. Also pay attention to changing and purifying the water frequently.

3. Provide a suitable diet: Tilapia are omnivores and they need both plant-based and animal-based foods to ensure a balanced diet. Some special feeds containing a certain proportion of plant and animal ingredients can be provided, as well as aquatic organisms such as shrimps, earthworms, snails, and human food such as vegetables and fruits.

4. Properly maintain the fish tank: Tilapia needs a clean and hygienic environment. The water should be changed regularly, the debris in the fish tank should be cleaned, and the filter equipment and water pump in the fish tank should be kept clean.

5. Pay attention to the temperature and light of the fish tank: Tilapia needs to maintain the water temperature at 24-28°C and moderate light. The amount of light time required to provide adequate daylight exposure is usually 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night.

In short, raising tilapia requires providing stable, clean, sufficient space for activities, proper diet, regular water changes and tidying up of the fish tank. In addition, it is necessary to maintain suitable water quality and temperature, and pay attention to sufficient light time.
