2023-07-20 17:50:31 335

Determining whether a dog’s cervix is open usually requires the following methods:

1. Observe behavior: When a dog’s cervix begins to dilate, she may show restlessness, anxiety, breathing difficulty, etc. She may urinate her vagina frequently, and there may be some signs of clear or pink fluid coming out.

2. Internal changes: Before giving birth, your dog’s breasts may swell and become firmer. Additionally, her abdomen may sag and she may show some signs of abdominal contraction.

3. Examine the cervix Please note that only an experienced veterinarian or veterinary technician can perform this examination. They can use gloves and lubricant to carefully examine the dog's cervix to determine whether it is dilated.

If your dog is about to give birth or has any health problems, seek immediate advice and help from your veterinarian.
