Location
It is found in South America (including Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Suriname, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and the Malvinas Islands (also known as the Falkland Islands).
It is found only in the mountainous regions of western Colombia and Ecuador, and is unique to these two countries.
Form
Toothed hummingbirds are mainly green in feather color, and their slender beak is convenient for them to deeply absorb the nectar of plant flowers. Their false teeth are mainly distributed in the most front of the beak, and their function is mainly used for "fighting" each other when males compete for mates.
