Eurostopodus archboldi (Archbold's Nightjar) is a species of woolly-legged nighthawk whose specific habits are unknown.
The breeding period of the wool-legged Nighthawk is from March to May. They usually do not nest, but lay their eggs on bare ground in forests. Each clutch usually lays 1 egg. The eggs are pale yellowish to orange-red in color, with slight yellowish or grayish spots. The size of the eggs is 35-44mm x 27-32mm.
Listed on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) 2012 Red List of Threatened Species ver 3.1 - Not Threatened (LC).

Location
The Woolly-legged Nighthawk is found in the central mountains of New Guinea, living in the high mountains above 1800 meters.
Form
It is large in size and about 28cm in length. The head is gray, almost all covered by black broad spear-like longitudinal stripes, the collar is grayish brown, not clear, the back of the body gray with distinct black markings, the shoulder stripes and the upper shoulder stripes are black patches, with grayish white bands between them. The upper wing cover is gray black with small brownish yellow spots, and the primary and secondary feathers are dark brown without distinguishing markings. The tail feathers are grayish brown with black stripes, and the outer tail feathers have no markings. There are 1 white patches on both sides of the throat, and the black brown of the lower body has yellowish-white to brownish-yellow spots. Androgynous.
