Aceros subruficollis

The details are unknown.

It is distributed in the Wallace Region (refers to the area east of the traditional Wallace Line (from the eastern side of Mindanao through the Makassar Strait between Bali and Lombok) and west of Papua New Guinea, including the Indonesian islands of Sulawesi, Nusa Tenggara Islands, Southwest Islands, Moluccas (Maluku Islands), East Timor and other islands).

The species is known as Aceros subruficollis, Rhyticeros subruficollis, and Plain-pouched Hornbill.

Listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN) for 2016 ver 3.1 - Vulnerable (VU).

Listed in Appendix I, Appendix II and Appendix III of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) 2019 edition.
