The Middle Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocoptes medius, Picoides medius, or Middle Spotted Woodpecker) is a European woodpecker。
The medium-spotted woodpecker likes to feed in high trees, constantly moving. The medium-spotted woodpecker feeds mainly on insects and insect larvae, feeding on tree forks and twigs rather than from under book covers. They also eat SAP. Rarely knocks on the tree trunk, and maintains territory by calling。
