Feature

Location
It is only found in Xishuangbanna, southern Yunnan Province. Abroad, it is distributed in Myanmar, Thailand, Malay Peninsula, Indonesia, Indochina Peninsula and other places.
It inhabits the foothills and low elevation rainforests. The food is insects. The nest hole is in a trunk or large branch.
Form
Male adult birds are bright red on forehead, head and back. Eyes first black brown; Gray brow lines; Gray brown ear feathers; Black zygomatic lines mixed with white lines; Greenish-yellow on the back and side of the neck; Deep olive green on upper back, shoulder and wings, same color but yellow on lower back and tail; Primary feathers black, outer pinna with a series of white spots; The tail feathers are pure black, and the base of the inner pinna of the central tail feathers has brown-white stripes. Chin and throat were cowhide yellow, chest stained green, all solid color without spots; Abdomen is light green, but mixed with black brown scale spots; Undertail coverts turn dark brown with white spots.
