There are about 15 species of fish in this genus in my country, with little difference in body shape. Mostly distributed in various water systems south of the Yangtze River.
The individual is not large, but it is widely distributed and numerous. It is a common small edible fish. Its economic value is the same as that of fishes of the genus Yellow Catfish and Catfish.
