The goby fish is loved by people for its unique shape and good jumping ability. It is small, with a body length of only 40-80 mm. It has a wide mouth, a pair of big eyes, and two well-developed dorsal fins on its back. The pelvic fins on the ventral surface move forward to the chest and heal into suckers from left to right. The body color is darker, with multiple black stripes across the back and scattered with many small black spots. The body color is extremely beautiful and the appearance is quite cute.
The goby fish has a gentle temperament and likes to live in clear, flowing water with sand and gravel as the bottom layer. In the aquarium, it often crawls and swims on sand or glass surfaces. Sometimes it can use suction cups to stick to glass or stones and stay still, which is very interesting.
The food of goby fish is mainly aquatic insects. The suitable water temperature for breeding is 18-26℃. Sexual maturity can be reached in one year, and the breeding period is from April to May. Artificial breeding is difficult.
