Malinois is one of the four types of Belgian Shepherd Dogs and is also the most famous one. These four types only differ greatly in hair quality and hair color, and other characteristics are basically the same. As an excellent military and police dog breed, this breed was used by the European military and police in the early 20th century and was highly respected by the military and police in Europe.

In September 1891, the Belgian Shepherd Dog Association was established. In November of the same year, Dr. AdopheReu, a veterinary professor, gathered a group of people from Belgium in Cureghem. The purpose of the meeting was to decide whether there was a national shepherd dog breed. The meeting selected 40 dogs, whose hair length, hair shape, and hair color varied, but their structures were similar. The Malinois lives in the Mali region of Belgium. Because of its extremely short coat, well-developed muscles, strong explosive power, and excellent working ability, it was officially named in 1911. The Belgian Shepherd Dog was officially registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) in 1912, but it was not until 1959 that the AKC divided the Belgian Shepherd Dog into four different breeds. It was not until 1965 that AKC formulated detailed AKC standards for the Malinois as a separate breed, and it was included in the working dog group. In 1983, it was changed to the shepherd dog group. As a breed of working dog, the Malinois has its own characteristics: agility, speed, strong explosive power, good jumping ability, etc. Many countries have introduced this breed as a military and police dog, and it is deeply loved by the military and police of various countries. my country's Ministry of Public Security introduced this breed in 2000 and was accepted in a very short time. At present, my country's police, military, customs and other departments have begun to use the Malinois, which is used as a drug search dog, tracking dog and identification dog.

In 1991, the Malinois was used as a transport dog to tow heavy machine guns for soldiers. Belgian soldiers at the time tied the wheels of machine guns to this kind of shepherd dog. Why did they use dogs instead of horses? Because this kind of dog has stronger endurance, and its flexible body can more easily keep up with the actions of soldiers in the bushes. In World War II, thousands of Belgian Malinois served in the army. They were used as messenger dogs, reconnaissance dogs, border patrol dogs and battlefield rescue dogs.

Malinois is a ferocious dog breed. It must be trained to raise Malinois. Trained horse dogs will be more obedient. When taking dogs out, you must use a rope to avoid causing harm to passers-by.
