Sinosaurus lived in the Early Cretaceous about 140 million years ago. When its fossils were first discovered, it was thought to be a primitive bird. Later, paleontologists confirmed it to be a small carnivorous dinosaur. Its initial skeleton was about 1 meter in size, with short and thick for
In 1942, a larger theropod dinosaur was discovered in the Early Jurassic strata of Arizona, USA. Because it had a pair of thin V-shaped bony ridges on the top of its head, paleontologists named it Bi. Spinosaurus. Dilophosaurus has a stout body, a tall skull, well-develop
Nodosaurus lived in the Late Cretaceous and was named by the famous paleontologist Marsh in 1889, meaning "nodulated lizard". Nodosaurus is about 4 to 5 meters long and is mainly distributed in North America. The head and body of Nodosaurus were covered with tumor-like bo
Triceratops is a very numerous and famous herbivorous dinosaur in the late Cretaceous. It and Tyrannosaurus lived at the same time in what is now North America. When encountering Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops used its strong and sturdy body to duel with its sharp triangle. Let's take a look at s
Since Reddy named the duck-billed dinosaur in 1858, this latest dinosaur quickly became a big star, not only because of its huge body and strange mouth, but also because before the end of the dinosaur age in North America, the duck-billed Dragons are found throughout the continent, so their r

Mamenchisaurus is one of the largest sauropod dinosaurs discovered in China. The length of a standard tennis court is 23.77 meters. Mamenchisaurus reached 25 meters, which is really unimaginable. There are many cavities in its spine, so its weight of 12 tons is not an exaggeration compared to

Early birds were still very poor in number and variety, and the chance of being turned into fossils was very small. For example, only six skeleton fossils and one feather specimen of the late Jurassic Archeopteryx fossils have been discovered in the past 140 years from 1861 to the present.
In 1928, the famous American geological paleontologist Professor Gripp published a scientific masterpiece - "The Geological History of China". In this book, he proposed the term "Jehol Biota" for the first time to represent the comprehensive fossil group distributed in the wolf-finned fish ro
