Why can’t you raise a rabbit with red eyes?

Red-eyed rabbits are a common rabbit breed with red eyes. Although red-eyed rabbits are very cute, they are not recommended as pets because they have some special physiological characteristics and health problems.

Here are some reasons why breeding red-eyed rabbits is not recommended:

1. Sensitive visual system: The visual system of red-eyed rabbits is very sensitive to bright light. They are susceptible to irritation from bright light, which can lead to vision problems, corneal damage, and other eye conditions.

2. Easily frightened: Red-eyed rabbits are usually relatively timid and more easily frightened. Noise, sudden movements, or stressful situations can cause stress and anxiety in them.

3. Higher risk of disease: Red-eyed rabbits are more susceptible to genetic diseases and eye problems than other breeds. Some common health issues include dental problems, skin sensitivity, respiratory infections, etc.

4. Difficulty in daily care: Red-eyed rabbits require special care, including eye cleaning and protection. Since their eyes are very susceptible to infection and injury, this requires extra effort and caution.

While red-eyed rabbits can still be adorable animals, for the average pet breeder, other breeds of rabbits are more recommended as pets due to their special needs and health issues. If you are interested in raising rabbits, it is recommended to choose a breed that is suitable for beginners and make sure to provide a good breeding environment and necessary health care.
